OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Course

Description

This is a two-day, 10-hour training course and is for employees who work in general industry (not construction). Each student who successfully completes the program will receive a completion card issued by the U.S. Department of Labor within four to eight weeks. 

This class is capped at 20 attendees. Attendance is required on both days to successfully complete the course. 

Topics covered include: 

•  An introduction to OSHA 
• Electrical safety 
• Personal protective equipment 
• Chemical hazard communication 
•  Walking: Working surfaces including fall protection 
• Emergency action plans, exit routes, and fire protection 
• Silica in General Industry 
• Safety and Health Program 
• Introduction to industrial hygiene 
• Machine guarding – lockout tagout

The cost is $100 per person for IMA member companies and $125 per person for non-member companies. There is an option to purchase the OSHA10 General Industry Course Book for $60. This is an optional resource and not required. If you need to change or cancel your registration you may be eligible for a refund up until March 30th.
