Two Tours Rolled Into One! Who Wants To Join Us For A Rare Two-Fer Site Tour Event?

These 2 facilities have the latest state of the art automated structural steel fabrication, paint processing, handling, and machining equipment.

The first part of the plant tour will be at Gayle Manufacturing Company (GMC) in Caldwell. GMC operates this large world class facility, with extensive fabrication capabilities, sitting on 50-acres, with room for growth.

GMC completed its new Caldwell, ID expansion in 2018, which was its second Idaho plant, having constructed a Nampa plant in 1998. This facility was constructed utilizing over 55 plus years of experience, to very efficiently fabricate heavy structural steel for the largest complex buildings and structures in high seismic regions. Since transitioning to structural building construction in the 1980’s GMC has fabricated and erected over 1,000 mid-to-high rise buildings including large complex commercial office buildings and business centers, high rises, major hospitals, university buildings, airports, and arenas, including the Arco Arena, Uber Headquarters, Chase Event Center Office Towers, and Google Campuses.

The second part of the plant tour will be nearby at GMC’s partner paint company, R&B Protective Coatings, Inc., less than a ½ mile drive from GMC’s back gate. R&B just completed construction of their second location with the first being in California. R&B’s Caldwell, ID facility is located on a 4-acre parcel with an additional 10 acres to expand and built with state-of-the-art equipment to streamline the coating application. With more than 50 years of performing industrial coatings on all types of projects, including the S.F. Giants Oracle Park, the Seattle Mariners T-Mobile Park and the Boeing 777 Hangar, R&B Protective Coatings, Inc. has become the premier industrial coating facility for all projects coming into and flowing from the PNW and neighboring regions.
