OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Course

Description

This is a two-day, 10-hour training course and is for employees who work in general industry (not construction). Each student who successfully completes the program will receive a completion card issued by the U.S. Department of Labor within four to eight weeks. This training course will be open to IMA members 1st and then opened to non-member companies on 5/15. This class is capped at 20 attendees. Attendance is required on both days to successfully complete the course. Topics covered include: • An introduction to OSHA • Electrical safety • Personal protective equipment • Chemical hazard communication • Walking: Working surfaces including fall protection • Emergency action plans, exit routes, and fire protection • Silica in General Industry • Safety and Health Program • Introduction to industrial hygiene • Machine guarding – lockout tagout

Tuesday, 6/8/21 - 8 am - 5 pm Wednesday, 6/9/21 - 9 am - 1 pm. Coffee & Bagels will be provided both mornings. IMA will provide lunch on Tuesday, 6/9.
