Partner Event - IDOL - Women in Advanced Manufacturing Webinar

November 7, 2024 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM (MST)

Description

The Idaho Department of Labor, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Labor Women's Bureau, is hosting its second annual Women in Apprenticeship Webinar in honor of National Apprenticeship Week on Nov. 7, 2024, at 1 p.m. MST / Noon PST. This virtual event will highlight the growing role of women in advanced manufacturing and offer insights into high-demand, high-wage apprenticeship opportunities in the industry. The webinar will feature industry experts discussing how apprenticeships provide women with hands-on experience and the skills needed for success. Women currently make up 27% of the manufacturing workforce, primarily in production jobs with salaries between $27,000 and $46,000. More women could see their earnings rise to around $60,000 a year by exploring registered apprenticeships in manufacturing roles like machinists, welders or aircraft technicians.
